Arctic Zero Ice Cream, 150 Calorie Pints, Best Find EVER

Arctic Zero Review & Giveaway,

All I can really say about this ice cream is.. I LOVE THIS ICE CREAM.  I'm not sorry about the CAPS. Seriously, I absolutely love this ice cream, and it's really low calorie.

The brand is called Arctic Zero, I received a shipping cooler full for free ( 8 pints, and 2 boxes of bars.)  I was in ice cream heaven.  First off, I want to let you know when it says Arctic Zero... It really is arctic, as in It is so cold! I didn't know what to expect when I opened the cooler it was delivered in.  You know when its really hot out, and you open the freezer to get something? And, the coldness pours out, and hits you in the face.  That's what it was like.  I imagined I was in the arctic, ice pick in hand.. finding the most greatest discovery ever.

(My husband had fun playing with the dry ice thats at the bottom of the cooler)

As far as calories, each pint was only 150 calories.  Honest to Bob! Just 150 calories.  I am still in shock about that.  I loved all 8 flavors of the pints.

Here are my favorites in order:  Vanilla Maple,  Coffee,  Pumpkin Spice,  Mint Choco Cookie, Strawberry, Chocolate, Chocolate Peanut butter, and Cookies & Cream.

You can make Floats!! (Imagine Cream Soda, W/Vanilla Maple) or even just eat it straight from the pint.  I always have graham crackers around, so I made little ice cream sandwiches too.  Shakes,  Smoothies, Whatever tickles your sweet tooth pickle.

As for the boxes of bars, Those are only 85 calories.  I really enjoyed them.  They are chocolate coated, and my favorite was the orange icecream w/the chocolate.  For bars, theres orange, strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla.

What I love most about this product was I did not feel guilty for enjoying a snack.  It made me realize I can eat something others might consider a "reward."

This product, I actually went back out, and bought more of the Vanilla Maple, Coffee, and Pumpkin Spice.  My local Krogers carries the Pints, but not the bars. It's about $4-5.00 for the pints, which it is well worth being able to eat desert without feeling like a total fatty.  I loved it.  Every night I would portion my dinner, and add in the extra 150 calories so I can have ice cream.  Beats, wasting 500 calories on a bowl of something else.

If you are an avid Amazon shopper,  You can get free super saving shipping on Arctic Ice products, I'm always saving up Amazon Gift cards I've earned from various things I'm part of.  There is a store locator on Arctics Website too if you're interest in finding some in your area.

Overall Experience:   Greatest find, ever. My new favorite Ice cream go to snack.  I highly recommend the Vanilla Maple, Coffee & Pumpkin Spice.

Now it's giveaway time!! I am so happy to have been able to review Arctic Zero, and one lucky follower gets a shipping cooler full delivered to them from Arctic Zero too!! I'm also celebrating my Facebook 2,000 Likes!! What's better than a cooler full of ice cream!?!

An Abundance of Thanks To MyArcticZero.com!

Sprout Robot Tells You When, And What To Plant In Your Garden!!

I came across SproutRobot.com, and instantly signed up.   I signed up because I love nature.  I also believe more people should give back to it, and grow something beautiful.

Why not grow something beautiful that you can eat?

This site makes it easier by putting all the guess work, and research into what Climate Zones can grow what, and when.  You just have to search by Zipcode, and it even emails you to remind you to plant.  I forget things lately, sooo that reminder is something I will enjoy.

This week I could be planting, collard greens, daikon radish, kohirabi, head lettuce, kalte, carrots, parsnips, turnips, rutabega, radishes, leaf lettuce, argula, spinach, mustard greens, beets, and transplant broccoli outdoors.

It even tells me what to start indoors as far as seedlings,

Week Of December 31, Start cabbage indoors.

Week Of January 21, Start leeks indoors.

This is SO cool, and I am getting ahead of myself.

Balmers Monkey Balm Review Not Just For Babies

Balmers Monkey Balm Review and Giveaway!!! by Angel *GreenVics* & Baby Sy;

This balm is a triple threat, It's an organic supersized vitamin bar for the whole body, It also works great, and for more than just one thing at a low price.  I have been using it on the eczema the baby gets on his cheeks.  He doesn't like when I use the tube straight on him, so I rub it on my hands first, and then gently on his face.

Only a little bit of the stick is gone, but I've been using it over a month now. I didn't just use it on the baby,
I also used some when my feet had sunburn, and it helped w/the flaking.  A little bit goes a long way.
Then my 20month old had his first heat rash around his chubby little legs, I used the Monkey balm again, and it went away the next day.  This was when Ohio had those freakishly 100+ humid days, He's my winter baby, and he's not used to heat.

Balmers, MonkeyBalm.com "This formula includes all-natural ingredients and features the amazing healing power of the sea buckthorn berry. Sea Buckthorn (seed and fruit) oil is time-tested and clinically proven to soothe irritation and heal dry, cracked, even abrasive skin resulting from eczema, rosacea, dry climates, seasonal changes, sunburn, rashes, and even minor burns and wounds. Sea buckthorn has been used for centuries in Asia and Europe to heal skin problems and is considered a "Holy Fruit" by ancient and modern Tibetans. "

Verdict:  I absolutely love this stuff. It's safe for the whole family.  I am someone that wont use chapstick, but I do carry a tube of Vitamin E in my purse.  This has been my goto tube for the baby, easy to throw in the diaper bag too.

(His little face is perfect!!!)

I would recommend Balmers Monkey Balm to every new parent, well, and to any parent for that matter.  From skin type, to even elements in the weather,  a tube of this would be a great investment in skin care.

Another great thing about Monkeybalm.com, is the 100% money back guarantee.  Not alot of companies offer that anymore.  Or, buy 2, get free shipping,  2 tubes would probably last us years,  seriously, just a little bit, is so thick, and condensed I had to smooth it out in my hands first, then I rubbed onto the babies face.   I received this stick for free, I was not asked how to use it, or told what to write.  It worked great on Sy's sensitive skin. I used it on myself, and on the baby,  It being all natural, and no harsh chemicals like some baby lotion/balms out there made me feel better about using it, and giving it a review.

24 HOUR FLASH GIVEAWAY: I am trying something new,  To enter the giveaway you just have to leave a comment saying You want to be entered! It's a 24Hr Flash Giveaway!!! Starts 8/22/2012, 4PM, Ends 8/23/2012, 4PM EST.

Bag Blaze Matilda Satchel Review & Giveaway

I'd like to introduce you to my Newest Precious , Bag Blazes Matilda Satchel, In Vibrant Orange!  I've never seen anything as tribal, and retro as it.  It reminds me that purses should be unique, and not always about the name on the tag.

I fell in love with the retro appeal.  Even the inside is pretty eye catching.  It's cheetah print, and there are pockets for things like your cell, and keys. I will be using mine for coupons, and more than likely baby bottles, then everything else.

  • Zippered Top
  • 5" Drop Handles
  • Detachable 21" Messenger Strap
  • 14" L x  5" W x 9" H

The bag is extremely roomy, and very well made. You'd never guess the price, but keep in mind Bag Blaze's deals are normally 60% lower than Market Price. This bag here would cost $75.00 in store, but Bag Blazes price, $29.95.

The stitch pattern on the Purse itself is very detailed, and put together nicely,  Below is a great up close shot of the design, and quality put into the bags.  I am very blessed to be able to offer a giveaway for a bag to one lucky follower thanks to Bag Blaze!  They are sponsoring the Giveaway.

Here are the other colors available for the Matilda Satchel,  Black, Blue, Fuchsia, and Orange.

Here's Your Chance To Win BagBlaze Matilda Satchel In Whatever Color You'd Like. ALSO, Exciting news, a blogger friend of mine has a giveaway too, to win a different purse. If I didn't already have a purse, I'd enter both!

If for some reason you can't use Rafflecopter, just leave me a message below, or on my facebook, and I will manually add you in for leaving me a comment, and being a fan. I believe everyone should be able to enter.
a Rafflecopter giveaway Giveaway Begins 12:01 AM 8/08/2012 &  Ends 12:01AM  8/22/12,

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion for a review. I was not paid for this post.  No one told me what to say.  I really do love the colors on this satchel.  I'm a retro type chic, so it fit my funky personality quite well. If you notice my reviews are a little different, I am currently doing them on my Sony S tablet, since the laptop is in the shop for a new graphics card.

MadisonAtMain, Jellybean Rug Review And Giveaway

Here is my MadisonAtMain.com, Jellybean Indoor/Outdoor Washable Rug
Review & Giveaway,

This is the Front Gate Jellybean Rug I've been reviewing for the last two weeks.  MadisonAtMain.com sent me this product for free so I can do a review for Jellybean Rugs.  The quality of the Jellybean rug is pretty great.  I love the design on mine, it matches every piece of furniture in my house.  I try to avoid overly cute novelty rugs, or things that I just don't "collect."  I wanted a rug that would match my wooden furniture, and the earthiness of the artwork that are on my walls.  Plus, I love plants, the swirls of the front gate pattern makes me think of vines, instead of the iron gate bars.  The swirls are always beautiful to me, and somewhat fantasy like.

(21" X 33" - 1/4" thick)

It looks much better in person than the stock photo from the website.  The Jellybean Rug is extremely soft, and standing on it you can really feel the thickness of the pattern.  Shipping wise, It came in just a few days, and rolled flat with no problems at all.  I've bought door way rugs before that no matter what I did, they just did not want to lay flat after being mailed.  But the material of the jellybean rug is much easier to work with.  It can also be washed.  The rugs are not nonslip, but I am using them on carpet in front of my sliding glass door, so I really don't need the option of non-slip for where my placement choice was made.

Giant Microbes, Superbug MRSA

Giant Microbes Super Bug MRSA
"You won't find this Superbug in the Halls of Justice."

Super Bug MRSA
Giant Microbes, Super Bug MRSA, is beyond adorable, well you know.. for being MRSA.. I fell in love with the little bug, and his gold & black cape.  There is a site called Giant Microbes by Drew Oliver, that has nothing but these little buggers  Some even come three to a petri dish.  There are soo many of them.

Really,  The site is fun to search and see what one of these bacterias/viruses/critters look like up close.  The microbes are only a million times their actual size! So knowing those funky shapes, are the actual shapes of what the things are?? Creepy! Yet, oh so cool!

GIANT BUG Super Bug MRSAEach one comes with a little pamplet on actual facts about what it is.

MRSA means methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus bacteria.  1 in 3 people carry the Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Many MRSA carriers show no symptoms other than when their immune systems are low. The difference between a virus, and bacteria.. Bacteria can live months without something to keep them alive.

I had so much fun doing this review.  The stuffed plush microbe is definetely unique, and addicting.

I'd love to catch them all.. Get it.. Catch them all..? Hahahah.

What Microbe would you catch?

Giant Microbes

Got to catch them all.. Well not really, please don't.

For some reason I just want to throw MRSA at people, and giggle profoundly at, ha ha.. You were just hit upside the head with MRSA.. I know I shouldn't.. You should not try this at home.  But, these plushes, vinyl toys, and merchandise are just fun.  I received my Microbe for free in exchange for a review.

On a serious note (I left this for last for a reason) MRSA is contagious just by human touch, with that being said, if a bump, pimple, cut, whatever becomes infected, starts to blister,  it may need to be drained, because the bacteria will stay inside.  It's a very dangerous staph infection that can burrow deep inside, even to internal organs, and your bones.  If for a moment you think something isn't right, go to the doctors.  This is not something that just "goes away."

I received this product for free from GiantMicrobes.com in exchange for my honest opinion for a review. I was not paid for this post.  No one told me what to say.

Omax3 Ultra-Pure Review

I've been reviewing,The Ultra Omega-3 supplement Omax3 softgels the last past month, what I like about the omax3 is that there is no weird after taste, and I'm not burping up fish oil. They are extremely easy to swallow. That's what happens to me when I take fish oil. I'm fine, til a few hours later then the taste comes back up. I know.. I know, that's nasty, but that's just what happens to me. With the Omax3's I still got my the right ratio of EPA/DHA, and it is 10x more than Fish/Krill Oil alone.

My body needs the extra fatty acids, to help with inflammation.  I fractured, and separated my leg years ago, but there is still metal hardware that makes it possible for my knee to bend.  I have what is called an Open Reduction Internal Fixation.  Just a fancy way of saying there is a leg brace under the skin drilled to bone, and cadavers that looks like a keenex set.   I don't believe in taking a chemical induced cocktail of drugs that's supposed to help nerve damage, and bone pain.  I just wont do it.  The side affects of those drugs out weigh the benefits of just a healthier diet, trying to keep weight off myself, and taking pills like Omega-3 supplements to help blood flow, and cholesterol.  I'm not a doctor, and I'm not saying this would be your cure all drug,  what I am saying is I already took pills like this before, and I will continue taking Omega-3 supplements.

Everyone should ask themselves,
  • Am I getting enough omega-3 fatty acids in my diet?
  • What are Omega-3's good for?
  • Why does my body need supplements like this?

These are all questions you need to research, and ask your doctor about before taking a supplement.  In past experience, a good doctor will seek out dietitian help, homeopathic alternatives, and not just throw their patients on some type of chemical altering pill.  I understand sometimes those pills are needed, but there are cases where they aren't.

This really is something I feel strongly about.  Bad things happen mostly not from the direct cause, but from a side affect caused from something else completely.

Omax3.com's website states,

"Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids have a role in regulating natural inflammatory responses.

Omega-3 fatty acids reduce inflammation response within the body and omega-6 fatty acids promote inflammation.

Early human diets were high in omega-3-rich content, leading toward a balanced (1:1) ratio in omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids. Unfortunately, the modern Western diet has tilted the scale to a lopsided (1:15) omega-3 to omega-6 ratio.4

Science strongly suggests that restoring the balance between omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids can restore proper inflammatory responses within the body ."

One Lucky Follower, Must be 18+yrs of Older, Can Win One Month Supply Of Omax3's. U.S. Residents Only. Giveaway begins 8/20/12, ends 8/31/12. Rafflecopter chooses at random the winner. Purex Insider: Combat Source Kill Max Ant Bait, and Gel

Review, and Giveaway For Combat Source Kill Max Ant Bate, and Gel,

I'm part of Purex Insiders group.  I received this Kit of Combat Source Kill Max Ant Bait, and Ant Gel for free, for my honest opinion.  My first thoughts when the kit arrived was how real the ants on top of the box looked for the picnic scene.  I've been having issues with ants lately.  I really don't want to spray anything, so this is a better option.  I did try Lavender oil, Peppermint oil.  I'm really burnt out on the little red ants that keep getting in.

The bates I put nearest to the sliding glass door, and didn't use the syringe with the Gel were I put the bates at.  I read that it's better to leave them an opening that way they can take the ant bate back to the nest, and you have a better chance of getting rid of them.

Around the rest of the windows I used the syringe of Combat Source Kill Max on the exterior windows.  I have a baby, and a dog that both like to get into the window to look out.  So I wanted to test it on the outside,  I know I'm going to have more treatments that way, but I just feel safer that it's outside, and not touchable from inside.

It's been a few days now, and I haven't had an ant bite me.  I'm hoping some of the bate got back to the queen.

I have great news, since I am a Purex Insider, and For this Combat Ant Kit, I get to offer a giveaway to one lucky follower for the same kit I received.  These are chemicals, so treat them with respect.  Follow the directions.

Below is the Giveaway, Begins 8/18/12, Ends 9/14/12  U.S. Residents Only,  Entrants must be 18yrs or older.  Winner is chosen at random via rafflecopter,  has 7 days to respond back to my email.  Purex Insiders/Combat has full responsibility for shipment of kit.

Coming soon is also a Combat Sweepstakes through Purex Insiders themselves, so don't forget to check back in.  Good luck!

If you don't want to use rafflecopter, just leave me a comment, and email me, angel@greenvics.com ,and I will add you in manually. I believe everyone should beable to enter.

The Alpha Beasts Review

I've been trying to find a fun way to teach Vic his alphabets. I came across The Alpha Beasts and instantly fell in love. Just the name alone, "The Alpha Beasts," I needed to give my baby. There is a whole clan of them from A-Z, all different characters.

Each has their own unique, silly name.

A:Alphie
B:Boogeyfus
C:Calicocious

We adopted V:Vin-Vin. Vic grabbed Vin-Vin up, and started kissing him all over. Vin-Vin is a great educational tool too. It didn't take Vic long to trace the V with his fingers while I chanted "V, Vic," and pointed to him. I said, "Do you love Vin-Vin?", and he'd kiss him again.

The Alpha Beast itself was extremely soft, and can be used as a pillow. I really love this thing. He's been dragging it around all day now, even took it to bed with him. I want them all! Even the Alpha Beasts Box ABC book set. At least this will be a fun way to teach toddlers the alphabets, and to spell their own names. I just need I, and C now, and Vic is done. Maybe, S-I-L-A-S for his middle name. That would be super-cute across his bed.

I think they are spunky, cute, and I want to live in their tree house too. I knew Vic would love it. He's a stuffed animal freak, and this just fit him perfect.

Kisses for Vin-Vin.

..My Blog DisclosureI received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion for a review. I was not paid for this post.  No one told me what to say. Vic LOVED his new friend.  That's all that really matters.

Easy Canvas Prints 8x10 Wrapped Canvas Review

Easy Canvas Prints, Picture Wrapped Canvas Review,

(Isn't it cute? I love it)

I had the honor of receiving an 8x10 canvas wrapped picture of my choice for free from Easy Canvas Prints. I absolutely love my Canvas. My husband thinks he's hilarious by always calling me a Momarazzi. I do, love to take pictures. Baby Sy is our first kid together, and we are both in our 30's. I don't want to forget anything. I see the canvas everyday because it's on the wall by the front door. I live in the city, so It's nice to see a photo of my baby playing in the river, as the clouds from aboves image is mirrored. It's beautiful.

(The back of my wrapped canvas)

I was impressed at how well wrapped, and put together the canvas itself was. Here is a picture of the back of my canvas. Easy Canvas Prints prides themselves on being 65% cheaper than competitors pricing, and being professional quality.

I just used their canvas design tool to see which picture I wanted to use. The design app was easy to use, and no downloads. My overall experience with Easy Canvas Prints was a pleasurable one with no drama, and the canvas came extremely fast within the week. I wasn't expecting it to be that fast, but no complaints here!

I received this product for free. I love it, seeing it before I leave the apartment makes my day.

Dezign With A Z, Fairy Tree Wall Decals Review

I wanted something cute for the area Sy likes to lounge at. The walls are pretty plain in my apartment still, and soon as you walk into the apartment you see an inner island where the sink is, that separates the kitchen from the living room.

I ordered the Fairy Tree Wall Decals 22”x25” from Dezign With A Z to fill that void on the wall. I was impressed at how fast the decal came. There were also cute little butterflies, and polka dots rolled up along with my tree, so it was like a bonus unraveling it, and finding little treasures along the way.

Here's a demo on how easy it is to Install the Decals:

It's pretty simple to install the Decal; My wall wasn't glossy so I didn't have to clean it off. I just marked where on the wall I wanted it, and I picked the corner of the inner island. I then laid the decal on a flat surface, and used the special tool that came with it to flatten it so the transfer sticks to the sticky side. I lined the tree on the wall with the marks. Since mines on a corner, I peeled the top right first and gently flattened it down to stick to the wall (Sticky side goes on the wall.) I did the same with the bottom right corner.

Then I used the tool and flattened the detail of the decal down more as I went around the wall. With the tree there are alot of little swirls, and leaves. The detail is just wild. Once I thought it was flat enough I peeled the plastic off, leaving just the decal behind on the wall. For how small some of the lines were, it really wasn't difficult. Even applying it to the corner was pretty easy. Just had to make sure I smoothed it out enough, and every bit stuck where it was supposed to.

This was a simple project for even people that aren't crafty, and want something unique. The decal is for a fairy tree, but I don't think it means for a certain gender. I love things that are magic, and mythical. I grew up reading about fairies, goblins, and trolls. Of course, I would want my son to have an imagination too.

You can find Dezign With A Z on,
Facebook, Twitter, & Pinterest.

I was giving the product in exchange to do a review. Review as in, I installed it myself, gave my feed back, and honestly, pictures do not lie when it comes to decals, and placement. Receiving product did not sway my opinion. All links on review, do go to the sponsor regarding more detail.

DIY Gummies Kit Review & Giveaway

Glee Gum, Make Your Own Gummies Kit,

Most people think of gelatin when they think of ingredients used for Gummies. Gelatin is collagen(bones.) It's pretty disgusting knowing those cute teddy bear shaped characters are made out of bones.

The kit I used has no gelatin in it, at all. The process uses Seaweed. You actually get dried seaweed to add to water, and powdered seaweed. The natural seaweed gel used are called, carrageenan, and agar. If you say Eww, I would never use seaweed, honestly you should take a look into the ingredients in everyday things you use, like toothpaste, deodorant, pudding, salad dressing, cottage cheese, or even sometimes sandwich meat. Look for carrageenan, and agar.

There is no "sea" taste to seaweed in the Gummies Kit. I was very pleased with the outcome, and We had so much fun using it. The kit itself comes with, Sea Weed, Sea Weed Powder, Corn Starch, Sugar, and Sour Mix.

First Step is to Soak the Sea Weed in water(Don't use the powder just yet, That is for later, It should look like this.)

While the seaweed was soaking, I used a glass pan to dump the starch in, then a spoon to spread the corn starch evenly about, I didn't try to make it perfect, but just flat enough. The corn starch is used because Glee wants you to have fun, and be creative making your own molds. I used an old teether, and a bottle cap. You can use whatever you want for your impressions.

Now you take the powdered Seaweed, add 1/2 cup of water, mix, don't worry about the lumps, Take the seaweed from out the bowl and place it into the mixture you just made, I microwaved mine for 2 mins til if foamed. After that you take the seaweed pieces out (there will be a gel formed around it, that is great!! make sure the gel stays in the bowl, and you take just the seaweed out.) I then mixed the Colored Sugar to the bowl, and microwaved for another minute.

After that I poured the liquid mixture over top the impressions I made in the Corn Starch. It looks weird at first, but I knew there were still more steps to do. I had a little bit of the mixture left so I poured it into a small plate (I had plans for that later.) I placed both into the fridge to chill for 10 mins.

After 10 minutes I took the gummies out, and used a damp napkin to get the powder off the shapes I made. I placed each shape onto the plate. I then used scissors to cut the excess off the shapes. Remember that plate of gummies? I peeled the whole thing off, and used it to cut Vic's name out of. The excess of both shapes, I used and cut into squares, placed those into a plastic baggy filled with the sour mix, and shook.

I didn't want the bigger gummies to get messed up, so I hand sprinkled the sour mix onto them while on the plate, flipped them, and did the other side too.

I loved how they turned out. They are delicious, and when my husband came home I had to slap his fingers from opening the baggy of the square gummies I had put aside for the babies snacks.

This was a fun, easy, great tasting treat. They taste so good! You can't even tell they are made from seaweed. I loved the detail from the impressions I used.

I really want to try all of Glees Do It Yourself Kits. This was a fantastic learning experience. I feel as a mother, I have learned something to pass down to my son.

I want fun things like this to be our thing to share. I'm pleased to share this with you, too. One lucky follower, thanks to Glee Gum for sponsoring this will win a DIY Glee Gum Make Your Own Gummies Kit too.

Don't forget when you leave a comment, use a valid email. I want everyone to be able to enter, and have fun.
