The whole month of December is a celebration for us! Today is actually my son's birthday! To me, Christmas, and traditions are all about the Children, and giving back. Can't forget the Toys, and Cute Outfits either!!

I come from a pretty big family, My grandparents combined had 22 kids, then comes their spouses, and children. I remember making a game out of remembering full names, and birthdays. Growing up the Holidays always had the tradition of going to our Grannys house. Since my grand parents have passed away that tradition continues by going to my Parents house.

It really is about the kids, the smiles on their faces, and just that sense of Family. Discovering, and playing with the toys.

My Dad makes the best Santa. Even strangers in the store, and little kids this time of the year think he IS Santa.

The Children are all getting older, starting school, and making lists. To me, this is my favorite thing about my life. All the littles being little, and celebrating the Holidays with them from picking out the Christmas Tree, Decorating it, Choosing a Toy to Donate, and The Silly Christmas Hats.

Every year, and new member of the family, our hearts grow.

#HoneyBakedHoliday Christmas Ham #Review #HolidayGiftGuide

Recently I had the opportunity to review my favorite HoneyBaked Ham location at Sawmill Road, Columbus, Ohio. Not only do they have delicious hams they also have my favorite sassafrass pop. If you've never had HoneyBaked Ham before I highly recommend going for lunch and taking advantage of the relaxing bistro like setting at this location when taking a break from Holiday shopping. Choosing which Ham is as easy as telling what size you are looking for and if you want bone in or without. They were extra friendly, and even helped me with using a coupon (yes they have their own coupon promos too!)

When I think of Christmas, I can't help but think of the food too. From the Sweets, to the Savory. To me it isn't a Holiday Meal without the Ham. I know my families tradition is to have a Ham every year. If Ham isn't your thing, HoneyBaked Ham also does Roasted, and Smoked Turkey Breast.

Since we are all getting older, and instead of a house of 2 Adults, and 4 kids. We are now a family of 9 Adults, and 5 kids for the Holidays. Preparing a meal that large, the kids at Church, the Caroling, the Present Wrapping can be a bit overwhelming.

I love how HoneyBaked Ham can cater the whole event, even with Coupons! Seriously, the taste of a home cooked meal, side dishes, pies, and even cookies really does make things easier. I consider Post Goodness Breakfast Bowls food for fuel. There are plenty of mornings I don't feel like cooking, I know I am not the only one, but the body needs to be fueled with a balance of different grains, and proteins.

Flavors come in 4 different varieties. Depending on if you have a sweet tooth go for the Apple Cinnamon, or Maple Brown Sugar, or just want extra protein with Bacon or Sausage. All are full of whole grain oats.

I had the opportunity to review Post Goodness Apples & Cinnamon (8 grams of Protein, and just 200 Calories.)

And, Post Goodness Real Sausage & Cheddar Cheese (12 grams of protein, and just 220 Calories.)

Each Breakfast bowl is a single serving, and atleast provides 26 grams of Whole Grain. Nutritionists recommend eating three or more servings of whole grain foods per day (about 16g whole grain per serving or at least 48g per day). Eating the Oats easily filled me up in the single serving. The texture is what I expected for Oats. Considering its as simple as removing a plastic film off the tray. Heating the tray for 45 seconds. Stirring, then reheating again for 15 seconds. Time really did fly by. Before I could pour my cup of coffee, the microwave was beeping at me. It's that fast.

Each flavor I tried I enjoyed. Both I could taste, and see chunks of the main ingrediants through out the slow cooked steel cut oats. The oats were chewy, with slight snap when biting into. Which is great for oats, and people like myself, and my son whom loves textures. My son loved the Apple Cinnamon the most. My favorite was the Sausage & Cheddar. It was moist, and reminded me of Sauage & Gravy but trickery! It's Oats, Sausage & Cheddar.
